Dr Anita Sharma is the practice principal of Platinum Medical Centre, an accredited supervisor for general practice registrars and medical students and member of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners’ Education Committee and the Diabetes National Faculty Specific Interest Group. She is a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland’s School of Clinical Medicine Primary Care Clinical Unit and serves on the editorial board for Medicine Today.

She is an advisory board member for Reed Medical Education and develops education modules on chronic diseases like diabetes, heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, obesity and osteoporosis. Dr Sharma is a medical review officer and designated aviation medical examiner for the Civil Aviation Safety Authority and Medical Review Officer for Civil Aviation Society of Australia. She is a member of MDA National’s State Advisory Committee (Queensland) and active member of Australian Federation of Medical Women.

Dr Frances Poliniak is an experienced General Practitioner who works as a rural and remote locum GP preferring to work in Aboriginal Medical Services. She is also a medical educator and a clinical teacher for the Remote Vocational Training Scheme, Eastern Victoria GP training and GPSynergy. Frances holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Honours), a Diploma from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, a Masters in General Practice Psychiatry, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. 

Frances is passionate about lifelong medical education for all practitioners. She has a strong sense of social justice and a desire to contribute to “closing the gap” in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.
